Formed in the rural wastelands of County Durham, North East England.The idea for Winds of Genocide came about in late 2005 during some heavy drinking sessions and after Kat (vokills-ex vocalist of Old School Death metal band Morstice and Heavy Doomrockers Blessed Realm) and Glynn Hall(ex guitarist of Crusty Death Grinders Revolt and Sludge/HC/powerviolence band Hara Kiri)were getting restless of not being in a band after a few years each in the musical wilderness.The founding members of the band initially had problems finding other members/people to complete the line up who are into such underground extreme punk-metal music in the Durham city area who can play drums and bassguitar but last year eventually found a likeminded people to complete the line up in the form of a Swedish guy called Linus who is now playing drums and also a guy called Dan who joined on bass towards the end of last year..Since Feburary 2009 the band have been furiously writing and working on songs/material first of all as a three piece and then from October last year as the current 4 piece and are ready to bring APOKALYPTIC DEATH CRUST to this foul stinking rotting world! We currently have a 6 songs fully completed. An EP is planned later in 2010 which will be titled "The Arrival of Apokalyptic Armageddon"....DEATH TO ALL HOMOPHOBES, RACISTS, FASCISTS-FUCK OFF!!!!!
