Cristian Saavedra

Born 1977 in Vina del Mar, Chile. As a child he got in to music by starting playing the guitar at the age of seven. In 1987 he moved to Gothenburg, Sweden, where he started his DJ career.Over the next ten years he performed at numerous clubs and bars in Europe. In 1997 he came to Nice on the French riviera. In 1998 he began working at Cherie's Cafe in Monte-Carlo. Here he could experiment freely with all different kinds of music that he had collected over many years. His selections stayed within the less commercial vibe, but it was a total success, leading to an offer by Stars'n'Bars in 1999. At Stars'n'Bars he shifted towards more electronica, deep-house, lounge and world music. This too was a success, and he played alongside world-famous DJ's for several years. In 2000 Radio Monte Carlo proposed a 3 hour mix every weekend, the show was named "Cool dance", and rapidly became a hit all over Italy. Cristian's first compilation was released In 2001 "Stars'n'Bars Vol 1". The compilation was a success and RMC was interested in a compilation by Cristian as well. In that same year "Nouveau Beat Vol 1" was released in collaboration between Cristian and RMC/EMI and it sold very well. Because of this they released thefollow-up: "Nouveau Beat Vol 2" later that year. In the meantime he got more international gigs along with more studio production work with his new ensemble "Casuall". The track "Todo Lo Que Quiero" was included on RMC's compilation "Nouveau Beat Volume 3" and "Nouveau Beat Volume 4" includes the track "Wonderful Place" from the first album "Start It". In 2004 Cristian got a contract with Monaco's biggest club: Kare(ment). It quickly became the most popular and fashionable place to go in Monaco. In 2006 Zebra Square, Monaco, signed Cristian as DJ and also as part of live performances. 2007 - 2009 The Amuser mag & music is a brand new magazine where Cristian is responsible for the music part. Interviews, reviews of new music artists and events.Cristian's goal is to play and create music that will bring a positive feeling along with the message in the songs to the listener. The result is a modern, jazzy, cooland uplifting kind of music.
