Summer Went Too Soon

About Me

The first Summer Went Too Soon album keeps its promise and confirms the great buzz surrounding the group since its beginning. Indeed, even though SWTS have barely existed for a year, they have, through their compositions, maturity, visual universe and cynical lyrics, sparked the interest of aficionados as well as the rock scene.
The band’s sizzling reputation has spread like a bush fire and awakened the interest of the label La Belle Chic, well known by insiders in Switzerland for its high standards. 7 months of collaboration with this label have culminated in the release of an album with an evocative title: Artists Don’t Fuck Like Civilians.
The 10 songs making up this first album will undoubtedly attract large numbers, but will above all gratify those who are looking for charismatic music. The vocals are androgynous, the soviet synthesizers are saturated, the guitar riffs wild, the pianos melancholic and the beats complex, with an Eighties feel, providing a melodious blend of avant-garde electronica and indie rock.
With such a sound armada one could expect legions, but SWTS are only made up of four band members: Pascal Viscardi (vocals, guitars, keyboards), Ian Richter (keyboards, piano, programming, vocals), Kim Schifferli (bass, keyboards) and Alx Vitale (vocals, keyboards). SWTS enjoy exploring both new sounds and classical structures. Among the numerous and very varied influences of the group are Aphex Twin, as well as The Cure, Sonic Youth, Einstürzende Neubauten or Joy Division, Kraftwerk and The Smiths.
Summer Went Too Soon place great importance on the graphic universe that surrounds them, through deliberately provocative live projections and stylish stage clothes. A Summer Went Too Soon concert is not only a musical performance but also a show with special visual effects. This is revealed on their first album: Artists Don’t Fuck Like Civilians.
