Eating, dancing, movies, laughing, used to be shopping(I am a recovering shopaholic), reading when I get the time, fashion and runway,MAKEUP, listening to music and I mean old throwback, back in the day, yo mama used to listen to music, spirituality building and empowerment, other cultures, traveling (when I have the money)....I love stalking choreography like in Aaliyah, "Are you that Somebody," anything by Fatima or NSync's choreographer, and this classic by JJ right here. Yall know yall used to the chair move at home and fall flat on your face. lol Also, refer to her "IF" video for further raw choreography. ..
I really want to meet Jesus Chris t when it is all over. Uuum- Beyonce, of course, Condolezza, O, Tyra Banks, Ashley Judd....Jesus Christ. I mean there are plenty. Common, Morris Chestnut, Tracee Ellis Ross, SARAH JESSICA PARKER and GWEN STEFANI- my fashion icons. Juanita Bynum, Malcolm, Martin, Rosa... ok anybody who had a struggle and have a testimony that they I could learn from but not like.. Jeezy or somebody. And some people I want to see if they really are that beautiful up close.
Ok, there is too much to put. I love the oldies- like Zoom by Commodores, Love of your Own by Average White Band, Footsteps in the Dark by Isley Bros. And the you know "I love the 80s" music so anything by Prince like Raspberry Beret and Adore, Janet, MJ's Lady of my Life and Portugese Love by Teena Marie.. you catch the drift.... Oh I like old Madonna, dont you just love the 80s? And just good music- like nowadays the reason we really feel songs is because half the time it is a sample of one of these aforementioned time periods, you know?. I love it when current artists use real instruments in their songs. It gives you that chill. I listen to gospel music more than anything now. "Order my Steps" is a song that I live by daily. I think John Legend had the best album of ...what year did that come out in?? Anyway, dont get me wrong I can quote some rap in a minute, even old school A Tribe Called Quest but the stuff they be talking bout now :( ...........But I can usually stalk Pharrell beats a mile away and yes I have a little of that Florida "cant wang with it" in me still. Help!
"I feeeeeel liiiiike gooooing oooon" (5 Heartbeats) -that's for my baby! Get out that caar, they gonna rape you! (Players Club)-that's for 511 and Vita, "If you cant get with the indoor/outdoor pool, you can ALWAYS leave/ I should crack your muthaf'in forehead" (You so Crazy), "Didnt I tell you to get a block on this phone wit ya Black a$$" (Baby Boy)-thats for Dana..... ok and Casino, hey have yall ever seen Flowers in the Attic, Wicker Park was soo good, THE NOTEBOOK!!!. I love movies like Seven, Lifetime movies on a Sunday, Italian Mafia movies and biographies like The Josephine Baker story. I used to watch that aaallll the time. Adam Sandler movies really make me laugh cuz he is so dry and sarcastic. And even though I get grossed out easily to the point of regurgitation, I have a thing for war movies... I'm pretty open to anything I guess.-except Sci-fi and Lord of the Rings for goodness sake.Update!!!I love the movie "Something the Lord Made!" Its like an HBO movie with Mos Def and it is depicting a black man back in Jim Crow days who was the "hired help" for a white surgeon and actually ended up performing surgeries himself but could not get the recognition for it. True story. Find it and watch.
"Get to steppin" -Martin. THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME. NEW YORK UNDERCOVER- Im mad I dont have TV One. Top Model Nip/Tuck Girlfriends Lifetime and my addiction.........Law&Order..... what yall know bout that. ok I like Style network sometimes and I very seldom watch videos and Bet. Not a reality TV person but I was all up on Flavor of Love for a Sec and Surreal Life when Mini-Me peed on the floor. I got turned on Dancing with Stars and there is no turning back.
My book game has been low because I was always reading a text book but I do like Purpose Driven Life, Invisible Life, Men Cry in the Dark, Sista Souljah books, Men are from Mars.. Women are from Venus, I dabbled a little in Your Best Life Now but still have to finish and last but certainly not least I have to say one book that I am trying to read every day, trying to... (pray for me, lol)- THE BIBLE.... everything is in it. I am currently reading The Greatest story of all Time which is the stories of the Bible in a story format. I also have the Threshing Floor by Juanita Bynum next on my list in addition to some books my baby gave me. I'll update you all. ;)
Anyone who endured racism and discrimination or brutal slavery including those assassinated for it. So that means all of my past civil rights leaders, anyone over 40 years old and all of my ancestors who held it down to get us to this point. Ok, and Oprah and anyone who endured hardship and became moguls at what they do.
