Hi,I'm Bill,
I'm a raver, I have a crazy social life. I like to be myself, traveling, meeting new people, the feeling of unity, beautiful girls, thumping in your face underground electronic dance music, flashing disco lights. I like to be entertained for hours and hours, to be surprised, I Also have a short attention span. I think that's why I love raveing so much. The music I've heard, the people I've met, the things I've seen, and the things I've learned from raves make me who I am.
I guess it all started when I was 12 (1989). I started listening to the radio when going to bed and throughout the night. At some point during the night the station I listened to would switch to some kind of crazy music. It would always wake me up but being too tired to get up and turn it off I would lay there and listen to it until I fell back to sleep. I later learned that the crazy music was dance remix and house music. I can specifically remember stuff like Petshop Boys & 808 state. After awhile I found myself liking the stuff I ended up going to the record store looking for it. Thats where I found Hardcore Techno, Hi-NRG, Uk Breakbeat Hardcore, & Techno and I loved it. So during the next few years I forced my friends to listen to it all the time. Early on I had no idea what a rave was or that they played techno all night long. Until one day in my sister brought me a Details magazine with an article in it about raves in the UK, east & west coast. I read that they played techno all night. I knew then that I had to find one, but where... At the time I was really limited as to what i could do or go not because of my age or not being allowed but because at the time my dad was sick,terminally ill. I spent most of my time at home watching him. When my dad passed away and I had more time to spend with friends and make new friends. I met a girl named Amy that had become friends with my best friend. she told me that she had a friend that went to all the raves and one day he was going to take her. So finally they went and she said she would tell me all about it. When she got back she said you have to go to the next one, you will love it. The next one was suppose to be Tunnel Vision. Unfortunately she had to work and we didn't go. That turned out to be the party of the decade and it would have been my first. We did make the next party it was in Columbus Ohio on july 15th 1995 it was called Faded the venue was called the chiller (for a good reason). As soon as I walked in I heard the most amazing sound I've ever heard, that turned out to be acid techno I can still hear it now. I made an instant connection with the people there and I wasn't even on anything. Before that I didn't feel that I fit in with anyone or anything but I found everything I was missing there. My friend Amy thought I hated it, I didn't though I had some issues with her at the time but other then that it was the most amazing thing ever. I've been going to raves ever since. But In at some point I found myself working every weekend, That turned into 5 years. Without a weekend off because I was in restaurant management, I didn't make it out at all. Then in 2001 I was talking to a girl I worked with, we were having a heart to heart and talking about being unhappy with stuff. At the time I had an amazing girlfriend (the sweetest girl ever) but still felt like something was missing. I was telling my co-worker this and she asked what I felt was missing and what I wanted. It only took a second to pinpoint what was missing. I told her I was raver before management and that's what was missing, that's who I was. But at the time I thought I was too old, but mostly too out of the loop to get back into it. She encouraged me to give it a shot. So I started requesting some weekends off. I went to see LTJ Bukem in Cleveland with a friend and then went to Area One in Toronto. So I got fired from my job because I wasn't their slave boy any more. But then I got a job at Amazon Trail where I found a really cool raver with really cool friends. I got back into the rave scene made friends with the coolest ravers out there and now just need to get the rest of my life up to par. I traded a good job for happiness and awesome friends that I wouldn't trade back for anything. The people you meet and the things you see at a rave can't happen anywhere else. The name Bill 4techno comes from long ago when people asked me if I did drugs at raves I would say no, they would ask then why did I liked going to them I said “for techno!”
My favorite kind of music is Techno (hard, acid, Detroit), Happy Hardcore, & Trance (Hard, epic, euro, goa/psy) with some Hard House and NRG in between. Techno in Detroit brings a tear to my eye. But I think Happy Hardcore is the most fun in a rave environment.
I like taking pictures and recording video when I go to Parties because every party is unique there is no way to relive it unless you capture each moment. Each one has it’s own vibe, it’s people, music. I want to remember that forever. some events I would have completely forgotten about if it wasn’t for pictures. When I look at photos I instantly remember the emotion / vibe I felt when I took it.
Other things about me: I like Large cities with lots of people, tall buildings, subways, and large bodies of water; Like Toronto. I also like nature, camping, hiking; I love forest's with tall trees and ferns all around. The best is hiking in a pine forest where there are 75ft canopies and a soft bed of pine needles to walk on. My favorite time is night time, I love the night sounds of crickets and frogs. I like very hot summers, the wind, stars, and waterfalls,
I really like people and being around lots of people, I hate sitting at home. I have a fear of being alone, Although I have fear of being alone, my fear of being tied down seems to keep me from getting into anything. As for my social life I don’t know too many people that can keep up with my lifestyle.....
