About Me

..

Welcome to my performance site! My stage name is Justin Case. Everything you see on my page is a reflection my life in one way or another. I LOVE to entertain; always have & always will. Broadway, Vaudeville and the stage musicals are very much a part of me. The stage will always be my first love.
Impersonation has always been one of my favorite things. My stage repertoire includes numerous original characters as well as celebrity impersonations. I have a standing repertoire of over fifty characters I use in my stage performances. There are several of my own established characters as well as celebrity impersonations. I enjoy the challenge of making the audience believe they are actually watching the character I am portraying through performance, costume & stage make-up. Many of my performance photos have been lost over the years. If anyone has pictures of my performances, I would love to add them to my page.

I absolutely LOVE the broadway musicals of yesteryear as well as of today. There was something very magical about the broadway musicals of the 1940's through the 1960's. This was the golden age of broadway. It has been said that after "rock" music started influencing shows, broadway seemed to go into intensive care. To some, broadway was referred to as "the fabulous invalid". There was a period where the magic seemed to have disappeared. However, broadway did have some wonderful shows during this period that will be remembered for years and years to come. Some of these exceptional shows include "CHICAGO", "A CHORUS LINE", "LA CAGE AUX FOLLES" & "LES MISERABLES". However, I can't say that broadway has ever again been as magical as a whole.
Over the last decade or so, I have noticed the revitalization of broadway. The New York Broadway Theater has come out of it's downslide and is in great shape, but it is simply different now. A rebirth has occurred.
Today, it is my opinion that broadway shows aren't always 100% live. Many shows have pre-recorded music &/or singing, performers are miked & stage sets are moved by highly technical means. This is so different from the golden age of broadway when performers were required to project their own voice to the back of the theater to belt out a tune or a simple whisper. Stage sets were not made into the most memorable part of the evening by mechanics. Don't get me wrong, friends. I'm not saying that the shows of today that use such devices are not good. Many are magnificent. All I am saying is that broadway is different today than it was in the golden era. Yes, broadway has transitioned into a different form now. But I believe there is life in the old girl yet!
If you want to get a better look at the magnificence of broadway during the golden era, I highly recommend seeing "BROADWAY: THE GOLDEN AGE" by Rick McKay (2004). It's available on Netflix.
You can see how that magnificent broadway style of yesteryear has influenced the artists' performances in the various clips on my page. ENJOY!
