J. Lash, visual connoisseur and photographer extraordinaire.
For over a decade his images have been coveted by the premier magazines
in the entertainment and sports industry. Whether it is a celebrity,
athlete, model or VIP on the sizzling nightclub scene, it has all
been
captured for eternity by J. Lash.
J. Lash was born in Watts, California and raised in Inglewood, He
discovered photography, quite haphazardly while attending California
State University as a Business Student. J. Lash had already mapped out
his future as a marketing representative, but those plans instantaneously changed
the day a friend traded him a camera for a pair of snake-skin boots.
The boots did last as long as J. Lash's new found passion.
His first professional assignment was an album cover for Capital
Records, He also began working on a part-time basis for DON KING
Productions and within four years became the Chief Photographer, that
partnership lasted 10 years. His riveting images have earned him the
title of "The International Boxing Federation's Photographer of the
Year" for (2)two consecutive years. His images have graced the covers of
"Boxing Illustrated" and "Ebony Magazine".
J. Lash has also been featured in the pages of "Sports Illustrated,
People Magazine, Newsweek, Black Enterprise, ELLE, Ocean Drive, The
Grind, Ozone and ProjectDestinyMagz.com". He has been the staff
publisher and photographer of the "Thats Whats Up" Magazine,
J. Lash has photographed events for CBS, MCA Motown and Warner
Brothers.
J. Lash's drive and love for all things visual have led him to reach
for the next level and he is also preparing to launch a new entertainment and
fashion magazine.
J. Lash is an active member of the Phi Beta Sigma National Fraternity,
Inc. and resides in South Florida.
