About Me
This Myspace page is now dedicated to our Mother, Lefa Elliott, who went to be with the Lord on Thanksgiving Morning... November 27th 2008.
There are no words to describe the shock we felt, since it was so unexpected. And, there are definitely no words to describe the emptiness and sorrow we feel with such a great loss of a great woman.
We consider her to be the embodiment of motherhood... she loved and adored her children greatly. She never thought of her children as a drudgery, but as a blessing from God.
She never met a stranger. Those who knew her always felt at home around her. She was kind, compassionate, friendly, giving, loving, strong, wise, witty, courageous. And, the best cook that ever lived, as those who have ate her Chicken and Dumplings can attest to:o)
She was never selfish or snobby. She enjoyed the simple things in life. Give her a fresh cup of coffee, her bible and a window with a scenic view and she was content.
Although, there were things that she went through in her life that would have made others bitter and cold... she was never like that. She never passed any pain and hurt she went through onto others, especially not her children. Instead, she raised us up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, with hopes that the Lord would bring us to Himself.
The one thing that stood out more than any other in her life was her relationship with the Lord Jesus. That was first and foremost in her life. She never compromised when it came to her faith and the Word of God.
She was not one to take credit for what she had overcome or even her very salvation. She knew that any good in her, any strength, any blessings came directly from God alone.
She prayed often for so many, especially her children. No matter what we thought was right in our lives, she'd always point us to the Word of God and what the Lord had to say about it. She never compromised on the Word of God.
In a world where so many women desire a "real career" and seem to look down on being a wife and mother... that was not our mother. Being a godly wife and mother was her career, and she loved it:o)
And we love her... more than any one word will ever express.
She was our Mother, Father, Sister, Friend, Teacher, Confidant and so much more. She will be greatly missed by so many, but most of all... her children.
This page is to not only "give honor to whom honor is due", but to be a place where all of her children, friends and extended family members can express their love and the memories they have of such a "remarkable woman".
This page will be updated often over the days, weeks and months, so please do come back and check out what has been added.
