6 and 1/2 Babies

Here's to a new journey!

About Me

This video pretty much sums me up!
I'm Dia. 35 years young and going strong! What can I say that sums up exactly who I am? I suppose we are all so MANY things that to try and write this little page is difficult at best. I will start with the obvious and most important.. I am a mother to the most amazing 6 children you could ever be lucky enough to know. My husband, Mark, is strong and intelligent. He makes me laugh, teaches me patience, loves me with all his heart, and truly defines the words "Soul Mate". I cannot imagine sharing my life with any other man. (Nor do I think any other man could handle me!) He is an artist at heart making video games by trade, but is also one of the most talented musicians I have ever heard. We first met in Los Angeles where he was an aspiring drummer for quite a few bands. There was just something really special about him. I fell for him the day we met.
8 long years ago Mark and I made the journey from our home of Los Angeles to Chicago, and although we have met so many awesome people here in the windy city, it is most definitely time to journey back. I miss so much about Los Angeles and anyone who knows me will tell you it's where I belong.

Hermosa Beach at First Street. Where I met Eric, and where Cindy and I spent most of our summers... SO GOOD TO BE HOME!
We have 6 fabulous children with a 7th on the way. They are the joy of my life and bring me happiness I had never before known. I look forward to September of 08 when we lovingly welcome the newest Smith into the world!
Our daughters are Hula dancers and with the sunshine comes the Hula season. Our Ohana brings us great joy and the gift of the Islands into our lives!
Taren (on the right) dances the Aloha Week Hula
Ashley dances to Hawaiian Hospitality. She is lovely!
