About Me

A place to put up some things I've written over the years...

Lyrics!
I decided to spend a few minutes to put lyrics up for the songs. Comments are welcome.

Another New Song
Just Take It With You (When You Go) is one of my first-ever songwriting attempts. Written in college in 1984 and performed that summer at the Spirit Club (now Brick By Brick) in San Diego (my profile photo was taken that night.), it was recorded with a boom box sitting on the bar. I cleaned up the recording as best I could, but it still sounds like a 1984 boom box.
Bass, vocals: Ted Leib; Guitar: Mike Reynolds; Drums, harmony vocals: I can't remember, but he was a cool guy.
The name of the band was Third Person. (Three players. "Third Person." Get it?)

Bloom County's Gonna Rock The World Tonight: Back when "Bloom County" was my favorite comic strip, one storyline included the characters forming a "death metal" band, initially called "Deathtongue" but changed to the more politically correct "Billy and the Boingers". At one point they ran a contest asking for readers to record and submit songs that would then be included in the next Bloom County compilation. This was my contribution (it didn't win). Band members:
Guitar, Lead Vocal: Ted Leib, Lead Guitar: Rob Hanzlik; Bass, Harmony Vocal: Jann Hoff; Drums: A Roland TR-707
