Native Reign was established in 2000 and has a Modern Rock/Contemporary Diverse sound. Native Reign currently consists of (JOSEPH S), lead singer & Bass, (ALEX D), Percussionist / back up vocals,(GREG W) Lead / Rythem guitar/back up vocals. Native Reign is the ultimate band to watch perform. One of the more famous songs is the "theme song" this song was calibrated from an old traditional Apache song. Keeping tradition in mind this version of the song has not disrupted any of its traditional concepts. This song it usually performed at the end of performances. This is a signature way of the band saying, "Until we meet again." They are now working on a new album and hope to have it out soon for the eager fans. The future for Native Reign as accepted by the band members is to see the band at the top of the Billboards Charts with a ..1 song and receive a record contract. Native Reign comes from reservations within the Four Corners area. The band members want to break the mold and prove to themselves as well as other artists that Native American musicians can accomplish what they dream. As taught to Native Reign there are four directions in which an individual must stand: the north (spirit), south (health), east (respect), and west (family). Ultimately Native Reign looks to each other for guidance. "NATIVEREIGN'S immense talent was evident throughout their performances as they displayed their musical versatility and range while electrifying the crowd. Their fan base, seemingiy quite extensive was mostappreciative of their effort. NATIVEREIGN clearly established a new enthusiastic group of fans. The rock & roll hall of fame and museum looks forward to having NATIVEREIGN back for the 2005 World festival celebration. NATIVEREIGN'S outstanding performance clearly was the highlight of this year's festival." "Ruthie Brown, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Festival organizer" --------------------------------------JOSEPH . Lead Vocal/ Bass Guitarist Joseph was born in Palm Springs, California and is Chiricahua, Apache and Anglo. He is very proud to be Native American and has strong traditional beliefs. He grew up in and around Cleveland & Toronto. When he turned Twenty he started traveling the U.S., which led him to the Farmington area. His music career started when he was fifteen but didnt take it seriously until he was twenty-six. When he was twenty-eight he released his first demo and then at twenty-nine he released his second. The road of a musician has entitled Joseph to meet different accomplished artists. some of the people are Keith Secola, Jarred Stewart, Robert Mirbal,Marqe torien,DMX,5 Finger Death Punch,Chimaira,Spinshank,Souls on Monday as well as other local successful bands. Joseph predicts he will play music as far as his career will endure. Some of his early influences were Black Flag, Circle Jerks, Misfits, the Ramones, but his favorite would be Motor Head with their own unique sound. Another influence he has had is going to see other artists perform giving him a drive to play different instruments. Though he can play different instruments his true calling is the bass guitar which he has been playing for seven years. His vocal career has only been for five as Native Reign's lead. His hobbies are hiking and exploring new places as well as looking for ancient artifacts. He also likes to travel which reflects form his Earlyer years when he traveled different parts of the U.S. Joseph's part in Native Reign is apparent from how he sings the songs and how he calibrates with the other band members. His unique style of playing the bass has earned him a devoted fan base. His song writing abilities are apparent in songs such as Tabaahaa (By The Water). This song was written with help from his good friend who has now passed on. Joseph sings this song in dedication to him and will always keep his spirit alive. Boogie Man Bones is a song written and inspired by a young child, the child in all of us. This song makes you feel like a child again. Joseph reflects back to his childhood and an old house he grew up in. He remembers how the moon would shine through the window and cast a shadow on the walls and how This would scare him. In the morning the image from the night would only be his teddy bear. One of Joseph's inspirations is his children, family, fans and friends that have played major parts in making Native Reign what it is today. The lotal fan base dedicated to come to every show. Most of all though is the strength he draws from his children. Joseph's outlook for the future for Native Reign is to see the band on covers of magazines, at the top of the billboards, and to travel the world to perform such as a major tour,-------------------------------GREG W.... Lead vocals/Lead & Rythem Guitar...... I was born the 24 of February in Fremont California 1967.I am half northern Ute from fort Duschene,Utah, and half DINE' (NAVAJO) from Kayente, A.Z. I grew up in the four corners area. My hobbies are hiking, fishing, swiming, basketball, basball, golf, music, and just about everything else. My influence is my first classical guitar teacher, Pattie Trout, who taught me how to play the guitar. And had the patience to teach me and a whole lot of other goofs how to play. My musical influences are Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash, The Beatles, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, XIT, CCR, Bad Company, Led Zepplin, Stevie Ray Vaughn, AC/DC, Metallica, the list keeps on going. I can remember playing the air guitar to AC/DC in Elementary School. Now i can play some of their kick ass songs. I have been playing in front of audiences for about four years. I started at the local theater in Kayenta, Arizona. That was my fist experience doing something i love to do (playing my guitar and singing). I started a band called "Golden Eagle" which was just a 2 piece and then turned into a four piece acoustic band. We did a gig for the Jacksonville Jaguar cheerleading and football teams in Monument Valley, Utah. That was fun time, "if you know what i mean." The members of my first band were Lee Benally, William "The Beast" Benally, Lance Todekonzie, and myself. A few months later I joined a band called "F.O.C." which stands for Faces of Calamity. I coincidently ran into two brothers at a local gas station in Kayenta one evening and immediately went to one of their friends' houses and started jamming. My first gig with F.O.C. was on Valentine's Day in Farmington, New Mexico. The band members are Kelly Bedonie, Travis Mose, and myself. Things started rolling when i started jamming with my older brother, "Aaron White" who had a band called Burning Sky. We did solo gigs in the Pheonix, area. My brother has booking agents who got us gigs in Tucson, Arizona., Salem Oregon., Silverton, Colorado., Sedona, Arizona., and Flagstaff, Arizona. The recent band i started is called "Eagle Spirit". Band members are Lance Todakonzie, Travis Mose, and myself. Lance and I bother sing and play bass and the six string. Travis plays the drums and percussions. Native Reign is the band i'm now jamming with and i'm having a great time being a new memeber. This has all happened to me in the past 4-5 years. I strongly believe that music is a universal language and it's a big part of my life. I hope to share it with you and all walks of life and beyond. Rock on... Native Reign. Thank You... Family and Friends.---------------------------------------------------- ------- ALX D, Percussionist / back up vocals. Born in Shiprock, NM. April 9th in the 1900's. I am Full-blooded Navajo (Dine').I started messing with Pearl in the late eighties.I like going to concertz, and the surounding areas and fishing. When I was about 5 or 6 I would follow my dad to his showz. There would be a line around the building. The best part of that was walking by and humping equipment right through the front door,I would just smile and laugh under my breath haha, suckerz. The best concert’s and show’s that I’v been to are probably the one’s that I remember.(HIC).I bought my first drum set in the early 90’s from A religious family,so Mr Stan Brooks and Mr Ken RVSO and I started jamming. My first drum influence is 2112 with Neal Peart.Other drummerz I listen to is Charley Benante,Frankie Benali,Randy Castillo,Tommy Lee and many many more.I like listening to Anthrax,Wasp, Queensryche, early Motley, early Van Halen,Slayer,Statix,Testament,Megadeath, and early Metallica.I've jammed with a lot of family and friend's,went thru many band names.Names like 4SKNZ,D,B,R.,Fade 2 Black,Midnite Sun and that's the one's I remember, HAA.Then I introduced my good bro Roland to Joe and soforth became (Native Reign).Native Reign started kinda small pretty much playing just the 4 corner’s area and many beyond, too many places to rember. We wrote the first two CD’s at Joe’s house, and at the cave. Our first tittle track cd entittled (NATIVEREIGN) was released in 2001 and the second cd entiteld (I OF THE STORM) was released in 2002. Native Reign released is third cd intiteld (I WON'T FIGHT) in 2008.It wasn’t easy with the negativity of my then spouse and a lot of haters out there in the late 90’s who didn't wanna see me nor Native Reign succeed. So I moved out of town for awhile’ only to return with some new ides a greater sound and a new style for Native Reign.Native Reign as done a lot of really cool and interesting things in the time i was absent but im glad to be back with them.We started the new year off by opening for (5 Finger Death Punch),and playing the most prestigious place in the world the (Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame) in Cleveland Ohio in Oct of 2008.Native Reign will be returning to the (Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame) again in 2009.I have been asked often who id love to meet and where id love to see myself with Native Reign,my answer to that question is anyone and everyone, and anywhere the road will take us.So on that note, NATIVEREIGN and I will see you at our next an upcoming shows.
