About Me

I can't sleep, so I'll update this. Most of you already know me, but if you don't..here you go. I am fourth year med student at UCSF. That's the first thing I say because that's what I've been doing for the past 3 years. My resume hasn't really grown if you know what I mean. This summer, as I started my fourth year, I realized that there are a lot of things I want to do with my life before I start residency. I figured that this is the only time for me to do some of these things because I'm not committed to anything. So I postponed my graduation and decided to take some time off. I will be traveling to Mexico and Ecuador for a total of 6 months. During this time, I'm hoping to travel, experience a new culture, speak spanish daily, and do clinical work. I will also spend time with my father in his hometown working on a farm, working like a real Mexican, under the sun, with a tractor and shit. It's going to be awesome.In the future I will become either a surgeon or an ER doc. In my past life I was a landscaper, construction worker, UPS sorter/truck loader, EMT, Medic, FTO, patient care assistant, lab assistant, EMT again, day laborer with a BS in biopsych(7$/hr, you gotta do what you gotta do) and research associate (in that order). Somehow all that led me to med school.Other important and random things about myself: I love my family and can spend hours with them without actually doing anything. If I'm going on a long drive, I love to wake up early and hitting the road. I like driving through farmland while playing mexican music, it makes me feel very happy to be alive. I work better under extreme stress. I've done my fair share of traveling and plan on doing a lot more. I love the outdoors, although I have not been able to enjoy them in the past two years due to surgeries, but I'll be back soon. I can trace most of my fortunate success back down to the sport of wrestling.

Cool people, I guess. But not people that TRY to be cool. I hate mean people, I hate tough guys. I hate tough girls. I like kind people, happy people, funny people. People who are comfortable with themselves and are not trying to be something else. I hate people who are supposed to be adults and still act like they're 13, all you gangster dumb asses , that's you you ghetto bastards. I hate you. I like to meet old friends, I like to meet new friends. I like to meet friend's friends. I'm always meeting sibling friends, which makes me think I'm a loser, but then I realize I have great friends.
