About Me

I live in Colorado. I have two daughters. Kelly is married to Michael and they live in Mildenhall, England, along with my amazing granddaughter, Ella Grace. She'll be one year old in August, and is the most incredible little poppet you'd ever hope to meet. My younger daughter, Katy, recently completed her first year at the University of Colorado in Denver and is majoring in Math. (Miss Smarty Pants!) I have two mutts, Shadow and Toby. i'm also dog sitting my 'grand-babydog' Dolce for a while since Kelly, Michael and Princess Ella Grace live 'cross the pond. I own a business in my home. And I also work part-time as a receptionist.

My Interests

i'm a Harley owner/rider. i absolutely LOVE the great outdoors, sunshine on my face, wind in my hair ~ but not the occasional bugs in my teeth. An afternoon on a patio with mojitos or margs and really good friends, is the ending to a perfect summer day.

I'd like to meet:

Richard Dreyfus. If he ever showed up to my front door and asked me to run away with him, i'd be packed in 8 seconds flat!!! And i'd love to meet Steven Wright. He's the funniest man on the planet!

Music:

I enjoy a plethora of music with the exception of rap. (Rap is crap) These days, i prefer oldies, and the local Top Ten stations, but tune into hip hop and country occasionally just to shake things up a bit. ( There's a jillion and one songs out there so WHY do we have to endure the same 12 songs over and over all day long?!?!?)

Movies:

My favorite movie of all time is Steel Magnolias. I love cold snowy days so I can 'bunker' down in front of the fire and a good movie. However, i usually fall asleep, so it takes me several times of seeing the same movie over and over to see how it ends..... or even begins.... (i know - it's so sad)

Television:

Hmmmm....haven't had a lot of time to just vegge out in front of a TV....but if i do get some spare minutes here and there, i undeniably LOVE Miami Ink, Trading Spaces, Moving Up, John and Kate Plus 8; and pretty much anything else on TLC. You can learn so much watching TLC! (lol!)

Books:

Always keep your words soft and sweet - in case you have to eat them.

Heroes:

Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain....

Be more concerned with your character (moral strength) than with your reputation because your character is WHO you really are while your reputation is merely what others think you are....

Hmmmm.....

We could learn a lot from crayons....some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box!
