About Me

I am a writer in my heart and in my mind. I just recently got a grown up job as a researcher/tax journalist for an international publication. I have entered into the name-dot-surname email world that is corporate Brittain. Lovely. Not exactly my cup of tea, but at the moment it is still fun. I have also started writing my novel, and at the moment it is going rather well, I am progressing it nicely so things are looking up for me! Whoop ti doo!!!

Music:

Anything where you can hear the guitars decently and the lyrics actually means something more than "I was at a party and met a girl and we fell in love and she broke my heart"

Movies:

Snatch (What do I know about diamonds?), Matrix (only the first one) Fight Club, The Shawshank Redemption, Boondock Saints, All off the James Bond Flicks (Except the ones with Pierce Brosnan in them, just does not cut it for me) and many more... I only saw Shaun of the Dead about a week ago for the first time and I had such a good laugh. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a spoof that is actually funny.

Television:

Not a regular watcher, but a good ol' episode of Scrubs, That 70's Show and Two and a Half men can go down nicely at any time....

Books:

Hitchhikker's Guide to the Galaxy, The world According to Clarkson, Anderkant die Scrap (Dana Snyman), anything by Dean Koontz and nothing by Stephen King. Robert Ludlum and even Da Vinci Code...

Heroes:

Batman, Spiderman, Jimmy Page, Johnny Cash, Frank Zappa, Richie Sambora, The guy who invented sliced bread and Jesus

My Rant...

Get your mind around it

Pointless Excursion

So I stood with people all around me. Not one of them knew even ten of the names of the people we were watching. I sure as hell did not even know one. So it struck me. We were just there to say we wer...

The real history of the world...

I have a theory. No, it is not at all true and just before some idiot tells me that it is a stupid theory, I know it is highly unlikely& but still possible.   OK, I probably read Hitchhiker's Gu...

It sometimes baffles my mind. I stand there, uhmmm, baffled by the sheer stupidity of it. I am not a great fan of it, and have always considered it to be rather tedious to pursue it endlessly. You get...

Chivalry died...

One thing that I have found quite disturbing is the lack of manners and general courtesy. I was raised a certain way. Some may say rather Calvinistic, but I believe that respect is not bound by one pa...
