Number 1 source for CD reviews

About Me

Hello everyone,
Welcome to Inner Ear
Inner Ear is a music community that focuses on personal reviews and interviews. In the past our focus used to be on promotion and if time, work load & financial status allows it, I would very much like to go back into that more.
At times it's been a rocky road to keep Inner Ear (fka The Music Vault) running, as I do 99% of the work alone. We made a restart in october 2007 with a series of interviews that were interesting to do and got great feedback. Due to the process of me graduating college the past few months have been slightly quieter, but since late May 2008 things have been picking up again.
We have a series of new interviews coming up soon and we are getting several new requests for reviews. The majority of the old reviews have been uploaded to the website, and I will continue to code and upload more old and especially more new reviews. The focus is still on the up and coming bands/artists/musicians as it is my passion to bring these talented acts to you and give you some idea of how good they are and how much you might or might not like them. It's a way to serve both the music and the fans. The music acts will get a better idea of what people to target and the fans will discover about great new, yet lesser known bands and artists.
Want in on the fun. Message us or e-mail us and we can discuss the details for a CD review, or we can post the lyrics to your songs on our website. Interested in having a song or a video featured on Inner Ear? That's possible, but we require the audio or video file to be hosted on your own website, so we can prevent all © issues. If you would like to do an interview for Inner Ear you can message us too. We'll set up our new strategy for promotion in the next few weeks and we'll get back to you about that.
Currently we are building up a new website from scratch. The website address is http://www.freewebs.com/innerearmedia (or click here [opens in new window]). We also have a forum, but since the communication lines go through e-mail and myspace we will advertize the forum once the site is back on it's old level of popularity.
I had all the reviews and interviews we have up on our website, including the ones that are upcoming, listed here, but since Myspace doesn't really like remote linking, and considers links to FreeWebs to be spam, the links won't work. Here's a list with interviews & reviews we have up:Interviews:

Sounds Like: About:

2nd Place Driver: "This band has always been a promise, and The Hungry Ones might be their step forward from a promise to a solid name in the national and international music scene!"

39 Reasons: "Creative, original and most important, genuine and honest!"

a balladeer: "a balladeer is waiting on their final breakthrough in music land!"

All She Wrote: "A band with a rare talent!"

AM: "AM's been around for awhile, and with this level of music he will be around for a whole lot longer!"

The Craze: "Give it some time and this band will conquer the world of music. There's room for improvement but this band has what it takes!"

Elseworth: "Such a shame we have to miss this remarkable talent."

Erny Green: "Erny Green is a singer-songwriter that combines darker moods with lighter moods and can only be described as a master of melancholy."

Honestly: "Out of many bands who had to call it a day, this is the band I miss most. The overwhelming talent and quality the world of music misses by not having Honestly is almost a crime!"

Lazyeye: "I recommend you check out this excellent rock band!"

Lisa Redford: "Among the UK's finest singer/songwriters!"

Little things that kill: "Unstoppable energy and enthusiasm!"

Mike Finley: "It's not just hoping that Mike Finley will make it big, it's a promise!"

Missing Leg Compartment: "They're not their yet, but with their will to improve it can't take too long until they hit the spot and amaze you with a killer album. Keep an eye and definitely an ear out for MLC!"

Nephu Huzzband: "Songs with potential and a band that wants to do what it takes!"

Patrick Park: "More and more he finds a place where he can shine as the brilliant singer/songwriter that he is!"

Patrick Ryan Clark: "One of the best independent mainstream pop/rock albums of 2006!"

Republic of Letters: "With passionate and well-written songs, these guys are looking forward to a long and successful career!"

Seven Mary Three: "This band has reinvented itself, and frankly, they sound better than ever."

the Tom Glenne 5.5: "Music constructed and performed with intelligence, skill, and a whole lot of creativity!" / "It’s not just music, it’s an experience!"
