About Me

Ask me to talk about me & I got nothin' ...I'm just a girl. Kirstin Colleen means Christian Girl...and Jones? Isn't that the most common name on earth? ;)
I grew up a gypsy...an Army brat. Being Ltc. Jones' kid meant traveling all over the world - Oklahoma, Texas, Germany, Maryland, Kansas, Virginia, then back to Texas (Killeen - Fort Hood) again by 8th grade. Constant moving as a kid left me with a restless soul. I've done more moving since leaving the "nest" at 17 than I ever did with my family!
Family & friends are most important to me. When you grow up the way I grew up "HOME" isn't found on a map. I'm drawn to small towns & pastures. My family raised quarter horses & although I never lived in my parents home town (Madill, Oklahoma) it still feels like home. Actually my idea of "home" is on a beach down South...maybe someday I'll make that happen.
I'm comfy in a hotel living out of my bag or just as comfy in a big, beautiful house. I have been blessed with a successful career & a lot of "stuff" but I don't need any of it. I have a beautiful house for sale right now...it was my dream home, but the builder in me is always drawing the next blueprint.
Enough of this "About Me" stuff! I'm not interested in me...I'd rather share a movie or a song with you. If you really want to read about me open the book.

Music:

I couldn't live without music! Christian (Mercy Me & Casting Crowns are so awesome), Classic Rock, Classic Country, Southern Rock (love, love, love Kenny Chesney) ...basically anything that sings to my soul.

Movies:

I love too many movies to list 'em! Let's just say I love movies.
Music & Lyrics is my current favorite. If you know me you know why...

Television:

I don't get a lot of time for TV, but my little friend TiVo knows what I like...I think I have every episode of Friends memorized. I love Grey's Anatomy, Oprah and somehow I'm able to put up with SpongeBob every morning at the crack of dawn! ;)

Books:

The B-I-B-L-E...yes, that's the book for me. Green Eggs & Ham ;) I love to read...usually have several books going at once.

Heroes:

Jesus, my Dad and Jamie Hope (my precious baby girl 2/27/04-3/2/04)My brother is my hero; he's such an incredibly talented artist. I can't draw a stick figure & this guy can create absolutely anything! This is a picture of my favorite painting. Hmmm...is it my favorite because I'm in it?
My Mother is a huge hero of mine. My Dad died 6/24/02; her sister died only 12 days before Dad. Then came me & all my "drama" over the last 3 years...cheating husband, dead baby...I've been a lot to pray over. Through it all she is always there for me & my brother. She always trys to protect us, help us pick up the pieces & remind us that we can make it through absolutely anything. She's always telling me she can't wait to read the book I write someday...I think she just wants to meet Oprah. ;)
