The incident made Mr. McNamara realize that there must have been other people who have gone through a similar situation. Likewise, a sophisticated system of collection was implemented.The Diners Club Card, as it was first called, was developed in Chicago, Illinois. However, it was not long until competition started. Cards such as the American Express, VISA and MasterCard were also established.
