I moved to Hawaii at the end of August to finish school @ HPU ... I love the island life, but I must admit, there are times when I miss those crisp, winter days back in my beloved state of Maine. More than those days,though, I miss my Ohana back home ... they are the number one priority in my life and always will be. As for my new life here in Honoruru, I go to school, work, go to the beach, snorkel, try to surf, and explore the many different things the island has to offer ... i've met some great people and some not-so-great people, but i think that happens everywhere. I'm entertained each day by the random characters i pass on the street or observe on The Bus .. my favorite encounter had to be in Waikiki when a homeless man asked me if i had any cocaine at the bus stop ... however, a close second would be a man near campus who was talking into a bear figurine, approached me and said: "it's God on the phone, he says he wants to talk to you about the war..." and proceeded to try and hand me his bear. I really should keep a log and write a book about all of the random things that go on here. Speaking of writing, it's a passion of mine ... along with hoopin. I want Stuart Scott's job ... if not, then I'll settle for traveling around the world and writing about it. I'm always happy, but never content ... when people become content they get lazy or lose motivation ... i dont want that ... i have too much passion & zest for life to be left feeling content. I like people who are honest with themselves as well as others ... My most missed memories are from Dec05-Apr06 when I was in Saipan ... ill never forget you PRIMS.
