Hello, traveller, you're about to take a wondrous journey of discovery on the spaceship Rob...
Lame
My name's Rob, I work part time pretending to be a nice person to people at Patriots games and BC sporting events. I also pretend to be a tough person at Pats games.
I play a lot of poker, and although I'm a winning player, it doesn't seem as though I'll be able generate enough cashflow for my appetites (beer and Bruins tickets). I'll give it a full-blown shot, but people aren't playing hold em as much as they used to. And with the economy drying up, people have much less expendable income to give to me.
So it looks like a job in the Departmenr of Defense might be the way to go. Navy or Marines are the most likely services I'd join. What would really win me over is if the Department of Defense changed their seal from this:
To this:
The one thing I'm really passionate about is my writing. I'd like to be a screenwriter one day, or do something involving screenplays. If not, sportswriter would be just fine because I'd get to go to games and meet players and shit, but fewer female movie stars (and wannabe stars) would want to do me. So screenwriter is my top goal right now.
I guess I'm already a semi-pro sportswriter. Here's my Boston sports blog:
I also write/have written for the following sites:
I don't consider this video to be my own production, since all I did was edit it together. It's my montage, but the footage isn't mine. So I don't know what that means. What's important is that Hayden Christensen is a crappy actor, and I hate him cuz he's kissed Natalie Portman, and I haven't... yet. Remember... screenwriter.

My Friends:

Here are some of my friends who are artists or have some sort of business venture:
Bobbielee has the voice of an angel...a killer angel. And I mean that in a good way. She sings and plays guitar. Most of the songs on her profile are covers, but she definately puts her own spin on them, leaving her mark. Her two original songs are fucking amazing. She will literally make you laugh and make you cry.
As you can tell from the beard and the black & white picture, Michael Cavanaugh is another musician. He's a great singer/songwriter and one of my most talented friends. He plays guitar and piano and is the best bowler I know.

Photography:

A very limited selection of the occasional photography I've done.

New Theme Song for the Bruins

I heard this song on WAAF t'other day. It's a classic from a classic group. And I think it would be the perfect song to play when the Bruins take the ice. Plus the video is disgustingly sick....

Prop 8

The question of gay marriage isn't a religious one, nor is it even a moral one. It's a Constitutional question. However, nobody seems to be asking this question the right way. The question ...

To the Left, to the Left... 2008 Election Thoughts

An historical election, to say the least. But not as historical as some on CNN are gushing on and on about. Obama is black, but he's also rich and was born rich. It speaks volumes about this country t...

Peyton Manning’s Diary, Week 2

Dear Diary, it's me... Peyton. Sunday was scary. We nearly lost... again. That would have made me sad. I got so nervous that I'd cry if we lost, that I started to cry. Usually when I cry, Jeff Saturda...

Broken Toe

I broke my big toe a few weeks ago in a stupid manner. I was on my way to go bowling when I stubbed it against the threshold at my friend's house (I hate you Bobbielee). It was fine until now. After w...

Near Perfect Weekend

I just had one of the solidest weekends in recent memory. It started with a 311/Snoop Dogg show on Friday, and ended with a hailstorm on Sunday. 5 PM Friday was when things got underway. An hour long ...

Assaulted by a Yellow Jacket

So I'm sitting on my front porch, enjoying my first cigarette of the day. A small black wasp comes along and starts climbing on the side of a bucket on my porch. No big deal. He wasn't bothering me, I...

When Will the Bruins Have a Parade?

Since 1972, the most Bruins fans have had to celebrate is Raymond Bourque's Cup win with Colorado in 2001. Meanwhile, in a span of 8 years, every other team in Boston has won at least one championshi...
