LISbON

The emergence of the band, LISbON, came after ten years of separation between two grade school friends. Brett Thorngren (lead song writer, guitar player, vocalist, drummer) and Gil Bitton (eccentric vocalist, lyricist) had both already been signed performers with other bands, when they reunited in 1999 to record this double album. Although both are from Miami, the two wrote and recorded this album in Cortland, NY. Following their completion of this debut album, the two brought in Steven Gibb (bass guitar) from Crobar and Black Label Society. Finally, they added Matt Newquist (guitar) from Soma Holiday.LISbON is inspired by the band members common interest in dark, passionate, and intense music and visual art. They credit such films as The Shining, Pink Floyds The Wall, Virgin Suicides, and Donnie Darko in influencing the bands sound.
