Ambershades met in a London pub in 2002 and after an evening of drinking games and deep discussion realised they had been playing in the same band for over a year. The harmonies of Davey (lead vocals), Ben ( vocals & guitar), Beardy (vocals and keyboards) and Johnny (vocals and bass) with the driving rhythms of Terry on drums have drawn obvious comparisons to both the Beatles and the Beach Boys. But scratch the surface and you will find something darker beneath their perfect pop exterior...
The summer of 2003 saw the release of two classic sunkissed singles (Clap Clap Clap and 8th Day). Whilst the world has begun to wake up to the world of Ambershades, the band themselves had been holed up in a freezing studio underneath Waterloo Bridge putting the finishing touches to their debut album Clap Clap Clap...
Currently Ben and Paul are flying the Ambershades flag proudly as they tour the world with the hugely successful James Blunt.

As far as I know we haven't split up! As far as another album goes, I doubt there'll be one in the immediate future, but we'll definitely make another when we all find ourselves in the same place at the same time. We still have a load of songs that we were working on, some of them finished. I'd love to do some North American shows, but i don't know if our schedules would allow it. We'll see!
