Melon

My brother's nickname is Mango. So let's call me melon.(Really people know me as Maureen)..........................I'm still discovering myself, questioning myself, who am i?, questioning what goes on around me, why it is what it is and what i can do about that, choosing my battles, and then rediscovering myself. Just when I feel like i've got a lot of my bases covered new things come up that make me see myself in a different way. I've been told I'm an independent soul. I thought that was cool...and probably true............................. I like to think I'm a pretty self-less person--I love my friends and family unconditionally. Every once in a while the shelfish side makes an appearance. But since I'm the independent person looking out for my best interests I'm entitled........................................ Listening to the quiet is a great thing. But i can't always do it too long before insanity starts to creep, which also contributes to the sleeplessness. That's why i usually end up doing five things at once. Or maybe it's just because i hate to sit still...either way, I hate to be bored and doing just one thing at a time usually doesn't cut it. My father tells me i need to relax, slow down, take up yoga. Haha. Someday that would be great but I don't have enough time for yoga these days................. Too many questions and thoughts, not enough answers out there...............................................I have a hard time being wrong. If i am i like to know, and i like to know why. That way i can get it right next time. I hate to be naive or to look rediculous......................I've started a list of things I've wanted to do that I've given up because of school. I'll post it sometime. ...............I love to cook. I love wine. dancing??? I'm always up for a night of dancing! I prefer the dj shows because there are less men scouring the dancefloor for 'ladies' when they have to pay $10 or $15 bucks to get in. The music is usually better, too (not that Top 100 teeny bopper bull-shit but something you can actually dance to).......I hate doing my dishes and laundry.......................I like to travel--I've spent a large percentage of my travel time in France. Love to practice speaking the language. Wish i was better at it. Some day I want to buy an airfare pass that lets you travel x number of times per continent and to x continents. Three continents sounds like a good amount. And if i could have a month in each continent that would be perfect. Although I would settle for half that. South America, Asia, and more of Europe. Lovely...............................................I like to learn new things and meet people who are different than me (i believe I'm one of a kind so it's shouldn't be hard). I prefer interesting people over the boring ones. But, I tend to be blunt so don't ask me what I think unless you want to hear it. I can also be rather crude. Talk to me long enough and I'll throw something into the conversation you probably weren't expecting to hear...............................................
