Whats going on fellow metal heads?
I have always taken my lyrical point of view very seriously. I have always been attracted to the power of words and how to strongly present them. I like to write about experiences that surround me and that have affected me directly or indirectly, weather its a positive outcome or negative one. To me, writing has always been an escape, an outlet to pour my frustrations. I write to evolve. I write as a release and hopefully my words will touch you in many different ways, some will relate where as others will not. These words are from my heart; my hope, my fears, my love and my hate.
Phillip M. Ross
Biography
Doug
Born December 12th, 1981 in Calgary, Alberta. Hes been playing drums since 1997, and guitar since 1999. His previous bands include Depth Conception, and Broken Foundation, where he and Phil Ross met and played together for three years, before the band members parted ways. Once again, Ross joins forces with Doug in 2004 with the band Opposite To Origin. Evolving over the last couple of years, his unique style has put added compliment to his original flavor of various tribal beats, nasty hard hitting double kick chops and sick cymbal work.
Sean
Born July 30th, 1982 in Newmarket, Ontario. He started playing guitar in 1996. Within the first year of playing, he won a couple of talent competitions. Then in 1998, he went on to form Depth Conception with drummer Doug Belcourt. His style of playing a vast array of heavy guitar riffs is combined in with acid rock aspects. Bringing a musical knowledge of technology to the table creates the unique sounds of Opposite To Origin. Controlling the treble and bass, Sean manipulates and attacks the whole rhythm section himself.
Phil
Born January 13th, 1981 in Brantford, Ontario. Hes been singing since he can remember, but it wasnt until 1995 when he realized how much power he had. The first time singing was back up in a band called StilBorn on a song called Avalanche. Years later, in early 1999 he formed Down Pour and in late 1999 formed Dusty Replica, both short lived. In 2001, he and drummer Doug Belcourt formed Broken Foundation until the bands eventual demise, but only to meet up with Doug again in 2004, in Opposite To Origin. His viscous approach to strong lyrical diversity and emotionally charged energy is some of the key things to witness when observing his powerful stage presence.
