I like to watch movies on TV and listen to music. I like to dance, but only with the kids because I really can't dance.
I love pretty gardens and the kids' artwork. I love to reminisce. I read like a madwoman. I love poetry. Music is like a magical poetry. One song can do so many things- it can turn you on, it can make you cry, it can bring a loved one home. It can cheer you up or make you silly. It can make you remember or forget. What do you come up with when you think of the soundtrack of your life?
I am not really star-struck, so I don't see how meeting someone famous could really impact my life, unless they're sharing their fortune (no strings attached)!!
I like a wide variety of music...If I listed it, you would laugh...80s music will always hold a special place for me...Aw, hell, here goes!...and mmaaannnnnnyyyy mooooorrrrreeeeWe'll keep you close as always
It won't even seem you've gone
'Cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong
And friends are friends forever
If the Lord's the Lord of them
And a friend will not say never
'Cause the welcome will not end
Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long
To live as friends

I really like most things with happy endings. Funny, I like funny... No musicals, ugg, really can't stand most of them... I like horror movies,
but being that I am a big chicken,
I have to watch them in the morning so that I don't get nightmares!
(Great with surround sound!)
Sadly I am a Survivor junkie-
and I love Grey's Anatomy,
Steve Irwin taught my kids a lot about animals and conservation and really got them into the reptiles...and I still can't watch his show without getting tears in my eyes! I couldn't leave him off my page!
I love to read...a lot of stuff. I love Nora Roberts
and Sandra Brown; I like biographies and autobiographies of almost anyone (probably because I am so damn nosy!), and very few books containing a lot of detail. I just read a book that my uncle enjoyed by Leon Uris and was captured. It was long and full of description and took me almost a month to finish, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Most books take 2-3 days. Some things just weren't meant to be read quickly.
I am still reading Beloved by Toni Morrison and plan to read Chris Whitcomb's book on being a sniper and member of the FBI Hostage Rescue Team.
(Cold Zero-Thanks Barb! The pic is for you!) JD Salinger displayed genius when he created Holden Caulfield...(I might actually like to meet him, just to find out how it all ended...)I really recommend all parents read Gavin DeBecker's "Protecting the Gift."
I really recommend BOTH BOOKS!
Gavin DeBecker for his insight on what parents should teach their kids...
