Athletic Teenage Joggers

From the murky swampy shallows of the historic barossa valley, rises the birth of a hideous creature, too see it would even make one convulse.. this creature's name cannot be spoken. Benzin. This band took years to even become a band, starting in 1999 with Benzin (vocals) and Tom (guitar) writing songs with no particularly strong intentions, just enjoying the fact they were writing something different. In 2003 the duo performed our first gig, a local battle of the bands in the town hall. We came last out of three, but recieved positive feedback and it was here that we met alex (bass), playing in the band that came second. In late 2004/5, the lads all moved to Adelaide where, in March of 2005, they met Dan (drums). After a period of intense evolution they performed numerous gigs in late 2005, only to have Tom suffer a debilitating injury to both wrists, forcing the band into a 12 month hibernation. The injury persists but has allowed the creation of new songs, and now finally the strength to perform them without doing more damage (hopefully!). The songs on here are over 2 years old and were recorded live at Adelaide Radio - hence the poor mix. The songs are stilla round in some form or another, but please don't judge us solely on that - come see it for yourself! As our headline suggests, we promise more gigs, more recorded material soon, and a more regularly updated myspace.!! Tom.
