I am a "writer" and I lecture at the University of Birmingham.My first collection of poetry is called 'The Solex Brothers' and is currently available from Salt Publishing in an extended edition.My second collection, 'The Harbour Beyond the Movie' was published by Salt in 2007 and won me a shortlisting for the Forward Prize and more enemies than I know what to do with. Maybe I will mix them with mayonaise and walnuts and make a sort of Waldorf Enemy Salad.What's more, I am regional editor (South West) of Succour Magazine, edit the now defunct poetry magazine 'Popularity Contest' and was once an associated reader for The Kenyon Review and Critical Quarterly.Oh, and I am part of the agit-prop musical-theatre ensemble "Pegabovine".

I'd like to meet:
Small murderer with good sense of humour and smell for potentially lethal business venture. And flowers; if I fell down I would like to meet a thick pelt of soft flowers.
