"July 16th", a poem written by a friend of our first drummer, we used it as lyric for the first song of the very first form of this band, that's where our band name came from:). the poem is in Chinese and regarding some political issue-the famous Cultural Revolution, a cruel period in the history...
July 16th was formed since 2001 originally, and there have been lots of changes of genres and changes of the members-someone left and another joined in-except the vocal and the band name , it hasnt really stayed in a stable situation. However, 'July 16th' is more than a name for a band, but kind of sign and spirit--keep the faith in ur mind.
but one thing is, making music is only a part of our life, we create and play it for fun, or more seriously- for expressing and enjoying ourselves, to get more passion for this bleeding boring daily life. we can not say it means all for our lives. thats fair enough, aint it?
