About Me

"Hello Dolly, yes hello Dolly it's so nice to have you back where you belong...." When I was 6 years old my stepdad, Michael Anthony Jones (who was just dad as far as i was concerned), taught me verses to "Hello Dolly" and various other tunes from his childhood and adolescent memories. I guess this was another way for him to bond with me. If he were still alive I'd ask him. Although it did help us to bond, it also spawned my conscious love for music. I say conscious because apparently I've loved music since the womb as my mother sang to me. It's also been said that as an infant, all anyone would have to do is turn on the music above my crib and i would be amazed for hours, and could often be heard singing along. Then somewhere between my first chorus at age 7 and my first solo at 10, I realized I wanted to sing for the rest of my life. And then, at the tender age of eleven, I got my first lead acting role, and the legend began. O.K. so it was just my elementary school production of "A Charlie Brown christmas" but it was the first thing I had to audition for and I got it. So began my passion for acting. This new found desire solidified it for me. I was going to leave the projects and be a world famous entertainer even if I had to die in the process. Slightly morbid for an 11 year old but at that time, besides my little brother, I didn't have much to live for so it was good to have something worth dying for. Fast forward to Junior high when i discovered another talent. See although my ear was developed with everthing from Jazz to classical to 80's pop to adult contemperary...etc, nothing excited me like hearing Doug E. Fresh and M.C. Ricky D or Run D.M.C. on the radio. You see I was hooked on Hip-Hop early cuz they spoke like i did and they were from where i was. And in the era of The Tribe, L.O.N.S., and Lords of the Underground, I could spit that new school flava similar to how they did it. You can believe i used every cypha', every battle and every party to flex my lyrical muscle. Now on to high school where I continued my music education @ Bayside H.S.'s Academy of Music and All City Chorus. Between the two I was able to perform at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and across Europe as a choir member and a soloist all while being a member of a professional acting company and a singing group that was actively pursuing a recording contract. Somewhere in this blur i uncovered an uncanny songwriting ability. It was only natural that i learned how to engineer and produce as well. So now with a full arsenal, the revolution will be televised. I used to want to rule the world. now i think I would rather change it (at least first ;) With Tha F.A.M. behind me (forever achieving more) and All in Tha Fam Ent. on standby, my soldiers are marching with me as I make my way thru the industry as an all encompassing, self contained powerhouse. My mission, to bridge the gap between life and music for myself, and my growing fanbase. The journey is far from over ladies and gentlemen. The legend continues....I edited my profile with MyPimpSpace.com, you should too!
