Ghost Town Collective

About Me

A group of musicians, artists, photographers, promoters, journalists, poets, and live music fans. Still in it's infancy, but with great ambitions.
MUSICIANS::
THE DIRTY FEET
TDF consists of Jake Sax on Guitar, Odame on Bass, and T-note! on Drums. All three of the members try to thier best ability to sing in harmony with one another. The Dirty Feet are currently recording at Sac Sonic Works with engineer Vic Chico. The new album will include guest appearances from former TDF members Rick Gleason on Percussion and Craig Cox on Electric Guitar. Also appearing on the material will be the extremely talented violinist/composer Damian Sol of Radio Orangevale and vocalist Katrina Skalland of Deluxe! The new record titled "Manifestation" (part 1 of a 3-part concept album) will be released this spring. "The music is at once dynamic, bluesy, sleepy, and psychedelic, like the Allman Brothers Band on a speed hangover." (SN&R)
ODAME
Influenced by groups such as Dave Matthews, Her Space Holiday, and Radiohead, Odames unique style of musical diversity blends unconventional arrangements of his distinctive guitar playing, along with nonconforming synthesizer programming and exceptional rhythm patterns. His haunting melodic structure and lyrics are often melancholy, yet contemplative, revealing the honest emotions and naked self-observations that convey his feelings and perception of life.
HELPYOURSELF
The helpyourself saga began in early 2004. They have been writing songs and playing shows in the greater Sacramento area ever since. Though originally dubbed SonicFolkCore (a new genre of music specifically created by the band, for the band), helpyourself has come around the musical bend so to speak and now happily announces that they are simply - Rock n Roll music. Straight up. In time helpyourself hopes to become infamously known in the Sacramento area as "the little band that could." We hope you enjoy what helpyourself has to offer you and yours for many years to come.
KYOTO BEAT ORCHESTRA (R.I.P.)
"...a lovely portishead-ish sound with powerful vocals and intense music." (Sacramento Bee)
OTHER GREAT BANDS::
BROWN SHOE
Fun and delightful melodies poke their head throughout The Wheat Patch. A nice indie rock jaunt through Mainstream Ave. and Indie St. is what Mapquest is telling me about Brown Shoe. The vocals are spacey with huge atmospherics and delicate melodies. Engaging rhythms grab ahold of you at once and stir things up as the terrific songwriting settles in around you. Add to that a bit of introspective lyrics and you have a very cerebral indie pop band that delivers rock n roll in the same fashion as some Radiohead tunes have. (Smother Magazine)
SWIMS
We're a bass and drums instrumental rock spittin duo of madness.
ARTISTS::
LAZARUS
Mixing real with digital, Laz shows substantial style and eye candy appeal. Both with artwork and photography, he is responsible for many pieces used by The Dirty Feet, Odame, Ona, and The Ghosttown Collective. It's only getting better...

Getting back into webdesign right where she left off in 2004... She's now the lead designer for the GTC profile. If you see her at a show, she'd love for you to say hello.
