Founded in 1995 7 Milez of Muzik to this day continues to delight fans world wide with a distinctive sound and energy, capturing the essence of the true underground music. In late 90's the underground "rave" music scene had already been globally expanded. Producers in regions such as Australia, South Africa, and Asia were taking suite in creating their own cultures & risqué versions of electronic music. During this historical era- five music pioneers from Miami, Florida founded 7 Milez of Muzik. The concept was driven by a well-known landmark named the Seven Mile Bridge in which runs on a stretch along the overseas highway in the Florida Keys; fueled by early albums from groups such as Meat Beat Manifesto, Prodigy, and Future Sound of London; Pink Floyd, The Doors and genres such as reggae and Miami style bass. In 1996 makeshift garage type studio was already underway and any studio equipment obtained during this time was used to its full capabilities to create the first experimental tracks. Well into the next two years the construction of studio (A) was completed and it was there that the first tracks, "Equal Power", "Fear", "Meltdown" and "Vertigo" were formed. Later in 1999 the construction began for studio (B) as more space was in demand for studio equipment. While not gaining much momentum yet credibility, two members: Meskk and then later in 2000 Dre@mz relocated to different parts of the country forcing them to temporarily disband from the group. Ironically in 2000 with the two DJ mixers missing from the group, Neuroziz, Ruben Vision, and Daxz landed 7 Milez’s first record sales. The 12" records released were "Fear/Meltdown" and "Equal Power/Vertigo". "Equal Power" was the most sought after and became an instant classic selling well over a thousand copies just in the first day. The first records were released under Insomniac/Napz records, followed by "From the Other Side/Dessert Winds" released under Sound Records in 2001. In the years that followed the electronic music and Florida break scene came to a halt. Negotiations started to fail with record labels since no DJs were buying Florida style break/electro records as much. This was no excuse to stop producing more music… 7 Milez of Muzik started working on down-tempo and experimental sounds and drumming with this valuable time. Neuroziz and Ruben began experimenting with live instruments (drums, electric, acoustic and bass guitars). Lou master guitarist and percussionist Rene "Slave to the Rhythm" Sanchez also started working on live instruments with 7 Milez. On stage 7 Milez of Muzik delivers a profound performance each and every time evoking a high energy vibe on to the crowd with an array of distinctive sounds and beats in their arsenal. The band performed their first live PA in early 2006; currently touring locally in the US. For the near future the stage act will evolve into a more interactive show implementing their distinct sound with live instruments and vocals along with a superb choreographed act to include special visual effects and costumes. 7 Milez of Muzik has developed their own distinct sound within the electronic music spectrum and today is more apparent than ever, visible in their elaborated musical arrangements, and their hard hitting beats coming through loud and clear in their latest tracks “Kiss my big foot†and “Touch†just release in June 19th 2008 available for sale now on “Snocapâ€. This collaboration of their new sound and the “Seven Mile Bridge†state of mind will introduce a new following to the yesteryear-underground music scene.
