About Me

i'm quite a laid back person, except when i'm stressed out! seem to make people laugh, love to sing (but most people prefer me not to!).i am very work orientated (although still make time for lots of fun :-) ). previously worked in pensions, which is as boring as it sounds and i was very unhappy personally and professionally and i felt like my life was going nowhere..... i went travelling and decided if i was to return to england i needed to change my life..... at 28 i moved to plymouth and studied addiction and volunteered for a drug treatment centre for a year. came back to london in search of paid work and got it! worked in a rehab in london for year and now do drugs education outreach work - mainly going to schools and youth clubs - i have a fantastic job! ok now i'm where i wanna be with my career time to meet some new people and see what happens next!!!I edited my profile at Doobix.com

My Interests

anything to do with music (dancing, gigs or just listening to my ipod!), theatre, eating (yes i like that a lot!). have done a bit of travelling including 3 months on kibbutz in israel and 9 months in australia. have just come back from india and nepal which was amazing. i'm becoming more and more interested in buddhism and would love to hear from likeminded people.

Movies:

well my favourite movie has to be the sound of music followed by wizard of oz and mary poppins - you can't beat a good old musical! when i was younger i loved the goonies and stand by me, they will always be films close to my heart! more recently i love quentin tarantino and david lynch films.

Television:

sex in the city - why oh why did they end it? used to love the secret life of us, what happened to it? also loved twin peaks. my ultimate favourite was prisoner cell block h! getting quite into deal or no deal at the moment and love reality tv!

Books:

anything by stephen king or paulo coelho.

Heroes:

i'm inspired by anyone who looks at their life, thinks this is shit and changes their life.

End of India, Begining of Nepal......

i'm in nepal! india was amazing, i spent xmas in varanasi and saw the sun rise over the river ganges, it was beautiful. varanasi itself is basically covered in shit, and was a real example...

Preparing for India

I've never done one of these blog things before, but as I'm about to set off on a 3 week trip to India I thought this might be a good way of keeping a record of what I've done as well as sharing my ex...
