I am a music attorney in Austin, Texas. My current and recent clients include Los Lonely Boys, Carrie Rodriguez, Chamillionaire, Marcia Ball, The Steps, Wendy Colonna, The Belleville Outfit, Shawn Sahm and the Tex Mex Experience (and the Doug Sahm estate), Conspirare, James Cotton, Dope House Records, Omar Kent Dykes (Omar and the Howlers), Van Wilks, Eric Johnson, Frenchie Smith and Calvin Russell, among others.I like music but I am also an avid obsessed birder. I spend many weekends hiking and birding. I have been to Costa Rica three times birding, Mexico and several places around the U.S. I would pretty much rather be chasing birds than anything else.I got into the music business working for Lone Wolf Management which was ZZ Top's management company. I was also involved in the management of King's X and Galactic Cowboys, some great Texas bands of the 1980's and 1990's.I have practiced music law for 24 years (more years than many of you have been alive) and I am licensed in Texas, California and Tennessee. I practiced for seven years in Los Angeles before returning to Texas in the early 1990's.
