Cooking and baking yummy things, cartalk on NPR, gardening and growing stuff in general, snuggling my cats (or other cats, I love them all), swimming in deep lakes and rivers, drinking good beer, olives, capers and pickles, eating fresh raspberries and strawberries, paddling around in a raft or other flotation device, rollercoasters, sunshine, wasabi(peas and on sushi) and the phrase "the bee's knees", people who spay and neuter their pets (it's the only decent thing)
Old friends, interesting people
Here are just a few of my current obsessions, but the list could go on endlessly, and I figure a small taste is enough. Magnetic fields, Pixies, Pogues, Cocteau Twins, Combustible Edison, Fiery Furnaces, Decemberists, David Byrne (Talking Heads), the Smiths (Morrissey), Soul Coughing, Yo La Tengo, Portishead, Jim White, Morphine, Bob Dylan, Radiohead, DJ Shadow, Barry Adamson, Modest Mouse, the Smiths, Luna, Kate Bush, Brian Eno and NPR's All Songs Considered podcast. Ernest Cline.
Toto the Hero, Betty Blue, Buffalo 66, Donnie Darko, 1 Giant Leap, Being John Malkovich, The Big Lebowski, Nightmare Before Christmas, and anything with stop motion animation and/or claymation.
First and foremost, Futurama! But I also like Modern Marvels, Intervention, Forensic Files, Jeopardy (but I hate Alex Trebeck, what an ass!) Great Chefs, America's Test Kitchen, Good Eats, Antiques Roadshow, Simpsons, Battlestar Galactica and Strangers With Candy.
Illusions by Richard Bach, and absolutely anything by Ray Bradbury. I am currently reading "Out of the Silent Planet" by C.S. Lewis from the space trilogy. Also, I like Cookbooks.
