The Adventures of Pete & Pete was created by Will McRobb and Chris Viscardi. The two were hired by Nickelodeon's Promotion Department, and they created the brothers Pete and their friends as part of a promotional campaign. Nickelodeon liked it so much that they decided to turn it into a bunch of specials.
