About Me

Just finished some new songs (Dec 2008) all recorded at home under basic conditions. Please give them a listen. Not sure when I'll get round playing live again...maybe wait for the warmth of summer to arrive.TremulousMonk is the result of Chris Wilkinsons labors since summer 2000. After setting up a home studio in York, England, he has produced a number of EPs, including the beautifully sublime Transparent Folk EP. His debut album, Sparkle Like Your Shoes, is a collection of songs with childlike nursery rhyme melodies and plink plonk xylophones over softly picked acoustic guitars and cheap organs. Coupled with this are dry and gritty, Stones/Stooges style dirty grooves with tracks like Dry Your Eyes and Sometimes She Needs Me. And as an ideal tonic for those 3 am moments, comedown tracks like Trees and the hauntingly sparse Steal A Car could melt the flesh from your bones. In 2005 Tremulous Monk supported Mark Mulcahy on his UK tours, played various Loose Records events at Bush Hall in London and a few support slots at Fibbers.2006 New Tremulous Monk album "Sweet Little Things" is ready and should be available this summer.....make that more like early 2007. In the mean time i'm playing with psychedelic drone popsters The Falling Spikes who should also have a ep out shortly ..This profile was edited with MySpace Help - Profile Creator and Editor MySpace Profile Help!
