What can be said about Me:
My life and my passion is music, I have always been obsessed with music. At an early age I would sit with an old classical guitar, down tune and play along to Black sabbath.
It was not until my 20th year, after an emotional break up, that I accutally went out and purchased myself a bass guitar. At that time a friend wanted to start a band and asked me to play bass. That was the begining of my musical career and of my first band "Standard Deviation." Six months later I was kicked out for pushing my band mates, and roommate to the extreme, I guess you can practice too much.
So at this time, armed with my bass, I moved from winnipeg to my home town of Toronto. I moved back in with family and started studying music. After a year of scales and metronome work I joined a pair of guys in a rehearsal factory not far from my house. we spent six months writing songs and getting drunk. We never named anything, nor did we play any shows, But it did allow me to meet other musicians.
Then in late 2004, Johney Goltz(lead singer of RFO ) asked me if I would be willing to join a band with some people from the building and play a show he was setting up a few months later. I agreed and so started "chaity kase." Kelly Pennycook, Dave Pake and myself worked hard and wrote many songs and I finally played my first show infront of an audiance.
After eight months, I heard that another band in the building was looking for a bass player. They had pre-writen material, a producer, and a possibility of playing some large shows. I went in for an audtion and before long became " My Darkest Days " bass player. We played our first show labour day weekend 2005 at Igg stock. With MDD I played many shows and even opened for Three Days Grace and Thornley . then
after ten months and 30+ shows an act of nepotism had me out of the band. There where many reasons given, but then again I may just be an alcholic after all.
A week later Dave pake suggested that I try out for his new band, so the following week I tried out for, and got in my latest band. STATIC LAB . With these cats I finally feel like I fit in and belong. Writing some kick ass songs, and letting my creativity really flow.
So Is my life up till this point. . .
What will come next. . .
Only time will tell...
