About Me

Hey everybody,
je suis Da Cush and I hit things for kicks. Here's some information on me you probably don't want and most definitely don't need ;-)

Name: S.C. Kuschnerus aka „Kuschi“ aka „Kuschmeister“ aka "Le Kuschnateur" aka "Sweet Catch" aka "So Clutch" aka "Supercushy" aka "Jet80"
Musical background: Started out in the local cathedral choir at age 7, picked up piano lessons shortly thereafter which led nowhere basically cause the teacher and I didn’t give a damn bout each other’s ideas, worked my rear end off during the holidays in order to afford my first shabby drumkit at age 15, started my first band that exact same day with dreams of galaxywide superstardom, reality check, played together with Frank and Chris for the first time at age 19, another failed attempt at the aforementioned superstardom, then I started focussing on recording work as a vocalist on a plethora of different releases, was part of a vocal quartet along with Frank, portrayed/played/sung the villain in a couple of relatively huge musical stage productions, did a bunch of session tours as a hired gun, started working on our own little musical with Chris before deciding that we needed to have a band together again, blackmailed Frank into joining, kidnapped Ji-In, et voilà: Krypteria
Briefly describe your drumming style: In the words of the immortal Jules Winnfield: "I'm a mushroom cloud layin' muthafucker, muthafucker ! I'm like the Guns of the Navarone !!!"
What makes me laugh: Lewis Black's routine, David Addison, watching Pulp Fiction, the Eisen/Sanders/Mariucci trifecta on Total Access, Triumph the insult comic dog and Tap’s Stonehenge episode…over and over again
Equipment:
TAMA STARCLASSIC drums (2008 set-up: Starclassic Performer B/B EFX - two 24"x18" BD, 12"x09" TT, 16"x16" FT, 18"x16" FT, 14"x5.5" SN),
MEINL cymbals (MB10 Series:14" Medium Soundwave HH, 18", 19", 20" Medium Crash / Amun Series: 13" Medium HH, 20" Big Bell Medium Ride, 16" & 18" China, 17" Medium Crash, 10" Splash / Byzance Series: 10" Dark Splash / Classics Series: 8" China Splash, 8" Low Bell),

sexydrums aka S.C. KUSCHNERUS IS THE DRUMMER FOR GERMAN-KOREAN ROCK ACT KRYPTERIA

S.C. Kuschnerus is one of Krypteria's founding members, and his musical and showboating skills are in hot demand all over Europe's entertainment landscape.

Kusch, whose family stems from the Baltic coast, has performed on a ton of music-related productions and his vocal and percussive works appear on over 10 million sold units.

Besides his regular activities as drummer, songwriter, lyricist and recording lead and backing vocalist, the longtime American Football player starred as a singer/actor in numerous leading roles in high-profile musical productions "Tabaluga" and "Falco meets Amadeus", working stages in Germany and Austria from 1999 through 2002.

In addition to all that Kuschnerus is a sought-after creator of English/German adaptations and also works as a vocal and performance coach, with some of his clients receiving platinum and gold records as well as a total of three ECHO-awards - and barring any interference with Krypteria's activities he's always up for new challenges...
