She is the giver of Earthly gifts, yet at the same time, she can, in anger withhold, as Demeter did when her daughter, Persephone, was kidnapped. In fury and grief, she kept the Earth barren till her child was returned to her.

A little something I wrote that sits on my refrigerator and has been there for almost a year and a half now...

My Interests

Music, crafts, some cooking/baking, gaming(to an extent- I'm a semi-recovering WoWcaholic), reading, walking/outside stuff. I'd like to start doing more outdoor activities involving nature ie camping,hiking, jeep rockcrawling(at least as a passenger ), etc. Major roller coaster/thrill ride nut- If it spins or puts me upside down I'm on it!

I'd like to meet:

Not sure I want to *meet* anyone :P I don't normally go looking for people. Although people who aren't liars or manipulators and are relatively nice with a twisted sense of humor would fit into the normal group of folks that I generally like to associate with. :)

Music:

Little bit of everything really.. I guess I'm primarily a hard rock/80's metal girl, but I'm big on 80's music in general- old skool/pop/freestyle, etc. Like a lot of newer music as well. I also like Celtic/instrumental/new age. Only thing I can't stand is hardcore gangsta rap... doesn't do anything for me really :P

Movies:

Disney, animated, horror(particularly the psychological screwup type), sci-fi, fantasy, superhero flicks, oriental, I dunno I like a little of everything really- just depends on how interesting it is. Pretty much as long as it doesn't involve a bunch of stupid teenagers running around naked trying to be funny or having sex(I'd rather see Jason Voorhees shove a pole through them if that's the case), then I'm good :)

Television:

Don't watch much.. but if I'm in front of it there's generally cartoons, food network, animal/documentary shows, or dead body stuff(Forensic Files, CSI, First 48 etc) on. Yeah.. I know.. cartoons to dead bodies..so I'm weird leave me alone =D

Books:

The dark elf(Drizzt) books books by R.A. Salvatore, Game of Thrones series by George R.R. Martin, Warriors series by Erin Hunter, and more to come...

Heroes:

Uh... I dunno.. Tigger?? He's a wonderful thing :)
