About Me

I am a painter and a printmaker working primarily in oils, intaglio, and woodcut. Originally from St. Louis, I moved to Rhode Island for Grad School where I just finished my MFA in Printmaking at Rhode Island School of Design. In June I moved to Philly and I'm working for two local commercial artists while continuing my own studio practice. I am exhibiting with Cade Tompkins Editions (www.cadetompkins.com) at the Editions/Artists' Book Fair in Chelsea this weekend (www.eabfair.com). She will continue to represent my work to print curators and at other venues around the country, so you can check her website for details in the future.

Breaking News: The Whitney recently acquired my piece "A Day in November: Impending Loss" for its permanent collection.

Other works from that series will be on view through the summer in the following exhibitions:

The Print Center: 1614 Latimer Street, Philadelphia, PA 81st Annual International Competition: Printmaking Juror: Shelley Langdale, Associate Curator of Prints and Drawings, Philadelphia Museum of Art May 17 – July 28, 2007

The Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts & Sciences: 120 Long Beach Blvd. Loveladies, NJ National Juried Competition : Works of Art on Paper Exhibition Dates: June 30 - July 26 Opening Reception: Saturday, June 30, 2007 Juror: Starr Figura, Museum of Modern Art

I am working on becoming involved with the Philly scene now that I'm more settled after my move, and am hoping to meet more local artists, artisans, writers, and musicians. I will update this section soon.

Here are all 4 images from my newest series (Woodcut, silverpoint, and goldpoint on mylar- each image is 6 feet long and 4 feet high.) They are arranged here from most recent to oldest.

"The Origin of Self-Sacrifice"

"Tristessa: The Reappearance of the Vanished Fillicudi"

"A Day in November: Impending Loss"

"In the Realm of Reverie"

I am currently exhibiting and selling work, but always looking for commissions, freelance work, or a full-time gig (imagine that). If you enjoy my work, please pass it on. Thanks!
