Floyd York, Mitchell West, and Trae Lamond have produced their own brand of D.C. post-punk/grunge under the guise of New Rock Church of Fire since 2006. Raised on 8-bit gaming systems and large cheese pizzas, NRCOF makes nothing short of "rip-roaring rock" (DCist.com). Throughout the District, New Rock Church of Fire has thrilled crowds with songs that range from the anthemic to the aggressive; girls sing along to Fig Tree while guys mosh to On Salisbury Plain. Up and down the east coast their live show begets a sound "as big as a fortress" (brightestyoungthings.com) - bring it home with Of the Wild, their self-released, debut album, available on iTunes and through their website.
