All right, now. This one isn't going to be quite as pimp as the others... seeing as how Heid requested, "Nothing stupid" -- as if I would put something stupid on his profile. Obviously, he doesn't quite know who he's dealing with.
So Andrew William Heid was born a small child in Wisconsin. This, obviously, explains why he has an unnatural love for cheese. And why he pronounces the word milk as "melk." But that's another story.
Heid grew up to be a pretty cool dude... we met long ago and far away at a little place we like to call E.N.A. It was the end of the summer of 2005 and I was helping his sister Abby set up her classroom for the beginning of the school year.
Heid walked in all calm and collected, said something snobbish, and gave barely a glance in my direction. So naturally, I barely gave a glance toward his.
"Annie -- this is my brother Andrew," Abby said... as if I didn't already know.
I turned around from stapling a calendar on the wall, gave a little smile along with a "Hi", and thought: Wow. This guy's shirt is orange.
"Hi," he said back.
And I'm not gunna lie... I'm pretty sure that's the only time we really spoke to each other until the Saint Patrick's Day of 2006.
HOLD UP! I totally forgot. One time in the late February/early March of 2006, I was in ENA for reasons unknown to me at this moment... oh, yes -- I needed a microwave to heat up my soup. So I was watching this phenomenon of the soup heating up in the microwave in the teacher's lounge of ENA when none other than Andrew Heid walked in. And right about there, I froze like a deer caught in head lights. My mind scrambled for something to say.
"Oh! Hey!" I said with a bat of my eye lashes.
"Hi," Heid said cooly as he brought out his own lunch from the refrigerator.
"I'm just, uh -- borrowing y'all's microwave," I said sheepishly.
"Oh. Right," he said as if he didn't care one way or the other. (Which, looking back on it -- I think he did.)
"Do you know where I could find a spoon, perhaps?" I hesitated to ask.
"Oh, sure," Heid replied (heh that rhymes) and reached next to me and pulled out their spoon drawer. I almost slapped him, of course, what with getting so fresh with me.
"Oh. Thanks. That wasn't obvious," I said with a nervous laugh.
Heid smiled at me like I was an idiot and went about his way.
"Well it was good to see you..." he said just before he walked out.
Mortified at the awkwardness of what just happened, I barely looked at him and tried to make myself sound like I didn't think it was very good to see him as I said, "Oh -- you too."
Ahh... such good times. Kind of reminds you of a novel, doesn't it?
Anyway. He's a Packers fan, an illegal immigrant hater, an Air Supply lover (don't lie Andrew... you know you are), and all around a pretty cool dude.
And that's all I really have to say... can't let this be stupid...
