Al is a player, manager and label boss.
In 2008 he founded the development label Ambiguous Records to help nurture new artists. Highlights have included sessions and plays on BBC radio and XFM, a development program for Sony Records and national press coverage. One to watch for the indie stars of the future said the Sunday Express. Ambiguous Records have curated nights at the Royal Albert Hall, Ronnie Scotts, the Natural History Museum and for Tom Robinson's BBC6 birthday celebrations.
Since graduating from the Royal College of Music in 2001 Al has worked as a player, writer and producer for artists ranging from Damon Albarn to Emma Kirkby. His songs saw over one million plays through synchronisation last year and his work has been used by the BBC and Sky.
This year year sees the release of Machaca's second album produced by Al which will be launched at the Purcell Room in April and Claire Tchaikowski's debut co-produced with Mike Hedges. (Dido, Travis, U2) Al represents several artists. Please go to www.almobbs.com to find out more.
