ELENA (20), singer/songwriter from Pontarlier (France):Natural, modest and somewhat shy. She expresses her feelings through her songs (she composes both lyrics and music herself). This is why her guitar is also her permanent companion. The talented newcomer hails from a modest background. Since the age of eight she has drawn attraction to her talent with very limited means: Loads of small gigs, appearances in the local media, sending countless demos to record labels and managements. This young lady of dual citizenship (France/Slovakia) knows exactly what she wants. She doesnt allow much space, for example, for third parties when it comes to the production of her compositions. She does her own thing - she is her own boss. Elenas motto is: be yourself, dont play a role. You can achieve your goals if you believe in them and dont give up!
18th November 1986: Elena is born in Slovakia. She has been living with her family in France since 1991. At the age of eight she begins taking classical guitar lessons but actually feels more attracted to singing than guitar practice
1997: Her first album Toucher Le Ciel, in English Touch The Sky, which comprises twelve songs, is released.
1998: Elena gives her first public concert and also has her first experiences with the media: TV in France (Besanon, Dole, Paris) and in Slovakia (VTV satelit channel, STV1 main Christmas Evening show) as well as the print media and radio shows (France Besanon, Slovak Radio Internationale, Radio Twist etc.) A certainly unforgettable moment: Elena gets the chance to be the supporting act for the famous French band of the eighties, GOLD.
1999: Various shows follow (Belfot, Palais de Sports Besanon). Elena also meets the famous guitarist Baden Powel as well as the French pop star Mickael Winter.
2000: Elena begins composing and from then on performs her songs accompanying herself on the guitar.
2001: Together with her girlfriend Julie she makes it to the finals at the Levis girlfriends casting broadcasted by MTV Paris.
2002: Her mother mistakenly (?!) sends Elenas self-composed song Attend Moi, (a demo recording!!) to Radio Bleu Paris.. the result: The song is voted the best Newcomer song for two consecutive weeks!
2003: An honor for Elena: She is invited to perform at the Theatre TRIANON in Paris by the producer Jacques Marouani.
2008; after many different experiences , Elena still continue to compose and create her own style . She plays in many gigs
