I just moved to Spartanburg in February and I'm coming to find that Michigan and South Carolina really aren't that much different other than the weather. That's too bad considering I have a closet full of jackets that are going to waste. Hockey has been replaced by football and "God damnit" by "God almighty." Now that the inital adjustment phase is over, I'm starting to get out a lot more. Sonny's Brick Oven Pizza, Wild Wings, Nu-way, Chief's, and Delaney's are the places I frequent the most when I want to get out, but I'm always looking for new things to do in the Greenville/Spartanburg area. I was never very involved in outdoor activities back in Michigan, but I want to try it out now that I'm in SC. Khayaking, boating, camping, etc. are all new to me, but something I'm willing to try. Moving to a place where I knew absolutely no one was probably the scariest thing I've ever done so I'm pretty much open to anything at this point.
