I'm dying to know... do you like dreaming of things so impossible or only the practical or ever the wild, or waiting through all your bad, bad days just to end them with someone you care about? And do you like making out and long drives and brown eyes and guys that just don't quite fit in?
I like a bunch of different stuff, I guess. But my top 10 at the moment are: Jack's Mannequin, Coldplay, Nightmare of You, The Alkaline Trio, Radiohead, The Killers, Dashboard Confessional, The Weakerthans, Jason Mraz, and Incubus...It doesn't stop there or anything. Indie's probably my favorite at the moment, but I love alternative, rock, classical, country, pretty much anything with a really good beat. I can find something I really like in any genre.
The Illusionist, Gone With The Wind, Moulin Rouge, Night Watch, Day Watch, The Saint, Scary Movie 2, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Crash, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Sixteen Candles, Velvet Goldmine, Real Women Have Curves, Garden State, Lost In Translation, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, Saved, Legend, Legally Blonde, School of Rock, Miss Congeniality, The Mummy, The Mirror Has Two Faces, etc...
Don't really watch it much; I prefer movies, I guess. I hate reality TV, but I do enjoy the following:
SNL
Mad TV
The Daily Show
The Colbert Report
The Simpsons
Reno 911!
Futurama
Ugly Betty
ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT
Most of the stuff on my shelves deals with mythology, philosophy, religion, history or art.
Some of my favorites: Kushiel's Legacy, The Alchemist, The Watch Tetralogy by Sergey Lukyanenko, The Historian, Everything Is Illuminated, 1984, Gone With The Wind, Circle of Friends, The Other Bible, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, His Dark Materials Trilogy, The Haggadah (would that count here?), Little Women, Ovid's Metamorphoses, The Odyssey, The Aeneid, The Poisonwood Bible, Girl With A Pearl Earring, Mists Of Avalon, Practical Magic, Pillars of the Earth.
