It's been a few years but Jackfruit has a new collection of audible inkblots ready for clinical application. The last time the Vancouver quartet hit the laboratory was over 3 three years ago putting together a collection of work entitled Check Ca. The project became a popular practice, and proved quite successful, in Basic Anabiotic Research Stations (BARS) throughout Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes. Their previous test has also been applied, yielding exhilarating results, in stations like the 2nd Annual Grassroots Festival, Bonfire Festival off BC's beautiful coast and live on Co-op Radio CFRO 102.7fm. But now, they're ready for something new. Bringing together diverse roots, from bands like Blue Quarter, Slammin' Jack, and Slow Nerve Action, Jackfruit will be hitting the studio in January 2009 preparing for the upcoming Summer's festivities.
