I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I come from a large and primarily dysfunctional family. Five brothers and a father passionate about sports have made me into a big sports fan who is just dangerous enough to be able to converse about most sports (even golf). I once aspired to be a sportscaster. I'm closest to my two brothers in Atlanta and miss them and their families. I'm happily married to a computer geek who gave me a carrot-topped son -- who is too smart for his own good. I'm blessed with 11 wonderful nieces and nephews, as well. And, high school and college, as well as work, have provided me with some great friends -- all different and each offering their own kind of gifts (stop interrupting, Sal). They are all over the world, from 4 miles away to Denmark and Croatia. I'm the picture-taker in the group (I'll stop short of calling myself a photographer in honor of those friends who ARE good photographers -- BamBam). I work with cool people who know how to laugh (B/A/V/C/K/J and KappaTau!). I like to travel to some extent (although I'd prefer to be knocked out for the flights) and would brave a few airline trips to witness a good figure skating competition (Jodi, let's go). I'm always up for a movie -- from chick flicks and intrigue, to action and indies (ready, Terri?). I'm handy with the computer, a hit and miss cook, good at pop culture quizzes, fair trouble-shooter (acc to Pam-ela), and a former pom-pommer in search of her form (it may be too late). I have faith -- in God, people, and life -- not sure why, but I think that's the point.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I'd love to see Adrienne, Mike, and Hollie again someday. I would have liked to have known Mr. McDorman and Hazel Merriss and I still miss my grannie, Merle. Many laughs would be had at dinner with Scott, Rich, and Pam (Casa, where else?). A retro moment with Gregor playing shuffle board would rate. I could list lots of celebrities and athletes to meet, but what would I really say? Okay, I'd like to laugh with Jeremy Piven; we could hug it out. And, HarryC could serenade me anytime (and Bob's cool with that).
