Destination Hill Entertainment, founded by Chais K. Hill affectionally known as 'Chais The Great', was inspired by his older brother, the late Destin 'Tak' Hill whom Chais accredits for his love and drive for making music. Born in Harlem, New York to John and Marie Hill, and raised in Southern New Jersey alongside his four other siblings, Hill attended South Jersey schools including Oakcrest High School in Mays Landing with promises of scholarships to play basketball for major Divisional schools including UNC. With the world at his finger tips and an unexpected 'gift' , Chais and his high school sweetheart were expecting a baby boy due the February before senior year graduation.With his new family on his mind, and wanting the best for Little Chais, he put his dreams on hold and worked to support his family. During high school, Chais was infamously known as 'Blitz' or his rap name during his 'rookie years'. Following his big brother's lead in composing songs and rapping, music became his NUMBER ONE LOVE.Proceeding his brother's murder in August 2002, Chais knew his world would never be the same. The only release of his profound grief was through pen and pad. His anger and frustration ,through the mic. Chais is determined to pick up the peices in honor of Destin and continues to fulfill his life long dream as one of the world's most powerful musical artists.Only in his twenties, with an "old" mindset, Chais The Great drops jewels for his community through his songs reaching peoples' soul- young and old-hood and suburban.
