Boris Jr

Boris Jr is going to release their first cd in the spring/summer of 09. Boris Jr is a rock band that was started by Paul Miksic in 2008 after the demise of his band “North City Ramblers”. The band plays mostly original songs. The band is a power trio, multi vocalist group that plays alt rock with some dashes of country, bluegrass, punk and Indi rock. The band consists of Paul Miksic who plays guitar, bass and vocals. Adam Switlick who plays bass, guitar and vocals. Rounding off the trio is David Lujan who holds the beat on the drums. All the members of the band have been around the twin cities music scene for at least a decade or more playing with bands like Friends Like These, 99ers, Cazadores, Communist Daughter just to name a few. The album was recorded and engineered by Terrarium studio in North East MPLS in the winter of 09. The songs are written about love, loss, divorce, traveling, sickness and other subjects that the members where going through at the time. Boris Jr has a wide range of influences from Wilco to Radiohead but tries to find a unique sound with a lot of variety. Boris Jr will be playing a limited amount of shows due to other projects . Paul Miksic will also be touring Canada and USA in ‘09 to promote the record.
