Reggie Hills the Eustis Florida Born, Cambridge/Boston Massachusetts Raised Emcee fell in love with the Hip Hop culture the instant he heard a record from one the Emcees he still respects and admires the most to this day, Loddi doddi by slick Rick.
His love of music started in the streets, but he was raised in the church where he was part of a youth choir, there he learned the importance of harmony, and how to arrange music. His uncle who at the time was a local Emcee taught him the in's and out's of writing hip hop. From day one he incorporated his love of melodies, and harmony into his music. But it wasn't until the death of his mother from AIDS, that he learned the importance and power of putting his life into his music.
His struggles throughout childhood with poverty, his father's abandonment, and becoming a father at 16 made him a soul full of pain, and emotions. He continued to emcee but purely on an underground level, mainly battling, and doing appearances for other emcees. Coping with his mother's death, and his younger sister's affliction with the same disease since birth, as well as being knee deep in whatever he had to do in order to feed himself, and his family made it really hard to concentrate on anything but making money.
He spent years in the streets, until a series of close encounters with the law, the deaths of some friends, and the desire to provide a different kind of life for his family made him decide that it was time for him to return to his first love. His music.
He enrolled in college where he met his non biological twin (both born on January 6th 1979), friend, and producer Nelly protocols. The 2 have been grinding and focused and have created Buzz in many markets. Nellys original style and Hills' emotionally charged "factional" rhymes make them serious Bizz, and they are definitely serious about the Bizz.
So call Him Reggie, call him Hills, call him Fact. It doesn't matter because he's still the Truth!!!!!!!
